When I found these dishes, it brought back memories of the late 60s and early 70s. But, this is 2009 and my 27 year old daughter thought they were great! She is a die hard orange freak and loves anything that looks like my era of teen years. I just had to buy them.
I have several tablecloths that just weren't the right shade of orange and then I found this vintage cloth at the Crisis Center Thrift Store. It is made out of a knit material and even has fringe along the bottom.
Here is a close-up of the plates.
The plates are by Gibson and were found as a yellow line item (new) at Goodwill. The goblets came from Dollar Tree, the flowers from Garden Ridge quite awhile ago for DDs room, the vase was a repurposed one that I had, the placemats were on clearance for $4 at T.J. Maxx, the napkins were a thrift store fine and the flatware is my eveyday one. Memories---priceless!
I love a good bargain that comes together and makes me feel happy.
Thanks for looking and be sure to stop by
Between Naps on the Porch to see Susan's exquisite Faerie Ball table and links to many more Tablescape Thursday photos.
Thank you Susan for hosting this fun event. I have been visiting for awhile, but today is my first time to participate.

So glad you stopped by my site and said hey.
This Tablescape Thursday is alot of fun and a great way to get alot of ideas.
Reading your profile...very sorry for the deaths of precious family members. May God comfort you.
There was a year when 5 family members and friends of ours passed away. It's not easy.
Blessings,
~D~

ReplyDeleteI was in Dollar Tree today and saw some salad plates that look like these. Mine are Everyday Gibson and are very lightweight much like Corelle. The ones at the Tree are more of a stoneware.
