Christmas in July Tablescape Party

Photobucket

It's Christmas in July and only fitting that Playing Dishes hosts a holiday table setting event. I know that all my Christmas friends at Our Home for the Holidays, Magical Holiday Home and the Garden Web holiday forum will be excited about the opportunity to play dishes with their holiday things.

If your holiday dishes are all packed up and you can't get to them, don't despair, just think of alternate ways to enjoy some holiday table cheer during the heat of the summer for most of us. You can be creative and use holiday colors with white, red, or black dishes, or even make a new Christmas centerpiece. Hobby Lobby and other stores are beginning to stock their Christmas things and have quite a bit out for CIJ shoppers. You could even concentrate on holiday type foods and let them be your focal point. What about homemade ice cream to replace snow ice cream for dessert?

Most of you probably even have some photos that you could share if you don't want to make new tables. However, this will be a great time to try out some new ideas before the holiday rush. Stay indoors out of the blistering heat and decorate tables and think of Christmas.

Photos of your table or tables should be posted each Saturday during July by midnight. The dates will be July 4, July 11, July 18 and the final one on Rudy Day on July 25.

In honor of the spirit of giving during the holidays, a giveaway will be held on the final Saturday, July 25. Your name will be added twice to the drawing for each Christmas or winter themed weekly table that you link to my blog and this party. Remember the next three parties will continue on July 11, July 18, and the final event will be held on July 25.

Enter a table in the party with photos and get two chances entered in the giveaway drawing.

Add the meme button shown at the top of this post to your blog and get your name added once to the drawing.

Giving a shout out about CIJ Tablescape Party will add your name one time to the drawing. (You can repeat the shout out weekly and get an additonal entry each week. Just leave me a comment if you do this, so I will get the correct number of entries added.

A random drawing will be held for this beautiful Christmas tablecloth on Sunday, July 26 as Christmas in July enters its final week for 2009.

Of course you can enter the drawing for the tablecloth without participating with a table of your own. As a guest and visitor, just leave me a comment about the party. Come back and comment each week for another chance added. You can also choose to add the meme button or give a shoutout with having a table. Pass the word so that we can have a great party.

Please add the above meme to your blog to announce this event. Leave me a comment that you have added this to your sidebar or given this party a shout out for an additional entry in the drawing.

I love a good party! Happy Christmas in July.

  6. Hi Felecia! So nice to meet you... Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting with a personal invite to join in the Christmas Tablescape! I would love to join in! I have the tablescape I did last year that I could post again... All my really fun Christmas tablescaping stuff is carefully packed away in bins and is stored in my too hot for comfort garage right now... But I was pretty proud of last years... It was the first year Hubby and I were alone on Christmas morning since we have been married... (kids have grown and moved out and this year so we went and messed up their homes for a change!) so I did a Christmas Breakfast table. So count me in! I marked it on my calender! Have a lovely Sunday!
